Flock Together

The Story

Once upon a time, four feathered friends lived happily together in neighboring nesting boxes. These boxes were provided by their human friend Ellie, who loved to listen to the birds talk and sing on her backyard deck every day. She would wheel out to give them birdseed, they would flap over onto her shoulder and sing their delight, and everyone was content. 

But then one day, darkness descended upon the land. The wind howled, the skies swirled, and their friend Ellie hid in her own nest from something she called a “tornado”. Disaster struck! The feathered friends were swept away by the strong winds, their fearful chirps echoing in the gale as they were scattered to all corners of the land! Nests were torn apart, feeders were knocked over, and as the winds receded only a small scattering of feathers lay on the deck to show the birds had ever been there. 

With the skies clear, the friends now vow to find each other again, rebuild their nest, and reunite with Ellie to sing the songs of their adventures! 

What Is This Game?

Flock Together is a journaling/narrative adventure game (writing optional) for 1-4 birds (players, if you will). The birds  work together to explore the land, find new nesting components, create new stories, and return to Ellie with as much happiness to share as possible – hopefully before the shadows grow long! 

To do so they'll need to find & successfully acquire nest tokens and find their way back to Ellie's Deck. The more adventures they have along the way the more happiness they might find! Your Happiness Points (HP) will determine your final score, but beware that taking too long may mean Ellie has to go to bed, which will be a big hit to your cheer! 

Details & Materials

This game can be played with 1-4 player and allows for simultaneous action choice & resolution. 

Players can either print out the components included in this game, or provide their own (deck of card & various tokens). Writing supplies and 4 6-sided dice are also needed.
