A downloadable portal device
Gateway Home is a solo journaling game / creative writing experience that fits on a bookmark. You inhabit the role of an amnesiac Wanderer who's been teleported into another universe, and has to find their way back via new worlds created based on their portal device's scanning of the books available to them. Eventually enough memories will resurface to lead you home... but what will you find when they do?
Based on my business card game "280 Steps Home", but reworked for a more analog experience. The game fits on a double-sided 8.5" x 2.5" bookmark, and options are available for double-sided printing (3 per page) or single-sided folding (1 per page). Low-ink versions will be coming soon!
To play you'll need:
- The bookmark
- A book
- Something to write with
- Your imagination!

Oh my goodness, this is so clever! I've been meaning to make a sci-fi journey game and this captures it so efficiently and cleanly, with so much room for interpretation!
